The Web has made many of the sources of legal and business related research available to anyone with an Internet connection. With this site, I have so far collected, selected and now provide nearly 800 of these sources for use by the individual consumer and the small to medium-sized business owner, with a particular emphasis on automobile dealerships, a business that is fascinating due the breadth of issues that arise and the wonderful diversity of personalities that make up the industry.

In view of the current concern with bioterrorism, the Center for Law and the Public's Health at
Georgetown and Johns Hopkins Universities has recently drafted and promulgated The Model State Emergency Health Powers Act , which for the first time defines the powers of the State and the rights of the individual in a health emergency, and which addresses issues, many of which may make us uncomfortable, but which now need to be addressed.

The New York Property Disclosure Act, effective March 1, 2002, requires all sellers of residential real property improved by a 1-4 family dwelling to provide a detailed Disclosure Statement to buyers containing specific information regarding the property condition before the buyer signs a contract.
